Aerobic Respiration

Your body needs glucose in order to release energy, which is needed in day-to-day activities. To get this energy, oxygen is needed to convert the glucose into the energy. The word equation for this process is:

The carbon dioxide is breathed out, as it is not needed in the body along with the water, which is breathed out as water vapour.
